  13. I just installed xdvik (we had xdvi previously.) xdvik's output is
  14. however poor. For example, at shrink scales of 4 and 3, it is
  15. impossible to read the output. The output also looks a kind of
  16. purplish (as opposed to clear white produced by xdvik).  Furthermore,
  17. I only get white boxes for postscript figures.

  19. Something must have gone wrong during the installation (as I expected
  20. a much higher quality from xdvik). Could you guess what? The installation
  21. procedure however was smooth. But perhaps I must change some parameters
  22. before installing, but I don't know which. Our machine is a DECstation.
  23. I already added -I/usr/include/mit to one of the Makefiles because
  24. of how X11 libraries are installed on DECstations.

  26. I would appreciate any suggestion to improve the quality of xdvik.
